August 7, 2018
Apartment rents in the Bakersfield metro area are the lowest among the state’s major areas, according to a recent report from ABODO.com.
Median rent for a one-bedroom apartment in the Bakersfield market was $749, the lowest among the eleven California markets in the study. This ranked Bakersfield 86th nationally. San Francisco was the most expensive rental market in the U.S. with a median rent of $3,654 for a one-bedroom apartment.
Even though Bakersfield’s apartment rental rates were relatively low, their 6.65% increase from July to August was the tenth largest rise nationally.
The Bakersfield metro area includes all of Kern County.
