Inventory, inventory, inventory specifically the lack thereof was a major theme of the 2020 Building Owners & Managers Association of Idaho symposium last month.
LeAnn Hume, a senior director and retail/investment specialist at the Boise office of Cushman & Wakefield Pacific, was a panelist on the forum for the local market forecast for the Boise area.
The Idaho Business Review followed up on her comments from the Feb. 11 event regarding the region’s retail real estate market, especially cap rates during the current conditions of economic growth.
(Cap rate is the ratio of the net operating income of an asset to its market value).
Hume has over 18 years of experience in commercial real estate. She worked for Albertsons at its corporate offices as a commercial real estate manager and helped launch and develop Albertsons’ gas station program. She moved to Movie Gallery in 2002 as a real estate manager, successfully opening 18 stores in her first 18 months with the company.
In early 2004, Hume received her real estate license and pursued her broker’s license immediately afterward. In her first year as a broker, she accomplished sales of more than $15 million. Within 18 months, her sales had gone to over $57 million. Hume specializes in retail tenant representation, retail investment and land development.
